• Who are the competitors and their current technologies?
• The Doerr School of Sustainability
• Leed Gold certified, which is a step below Platinum (like most Engineering quad buildings are)
• It’s kind of just an award, I’m not sure how much it really matters
• The Jen-Hsun Huang engineering center used a lot of non-domestic materials which had to be shipped over for construction, which we learned hurt the sustainability score e.g importing French marble from overseas is NOT a sustainable construction practice
• What are the advantages of your product / approach?
• A focus on locally sourced materials
• Added aesthetic and symbolic value due to nature-inspired design
• It actually looks like a “sustainability” center
• Makes sustainability accessible to those not following the dedicated educational pipeline, through an atmosphere that encourages emotional learning

• Given funding, will result in better learning center that brings in students passionate about sustainability, and educates them in a way that doesn’t drain their soul
