  1. Select the existing ramp and flair out the end of the bottom run segment so that this segment narrows as it increases elevation.
  2. Create a new spiral Ramp 1 ramp with a radius of 40'0". Make the center point of the spiral at the intersection of the two red lines that you can find in the Level 1 Floor Plan. Be sure to leave at least 4'0" for the landings.
  3. When you have finished, delete the annotation marks.
  4. Move rotate the spiral case so that the top aligns with the Level 2 floor slab. Change the center of rotation when using the Rotate tool if needed.

Tip: If you are having trouble starting select the center point for new segments, try pressing escape once or twice after placing the previous segment. Be sure that you are selecting the endpoint of the detail line.

Tip: If you are having trouble rotating your stair case so that the end lines up with the horizontal, try using the Place feature for the center of location of the Rotate tool, and then choose a strategic point of rotation.

When you have completed this exercise, your model should look like this:
