4.6.G Using the Veras AI Extension for Revit

Veras is an AI-powered visualization add-in for SketchUp, Revit & Rhinoceros, that uses your 3D model geometry as a starting point for creativity and inspiration.

Setting Up the Veras AI Extension

Download the Veras AI Windows Installer using this link:
Create a Veras account for your free trial
Install the Veras AI extension for Revit
  • Double-click the Installer file and accept the default settings.

Start the Veras AI Tool

  • Open the Revit application.
  • Open a 3D Camera view of your Revit model.
  • Open the EvolveLab > Veras AI > Start tool from the ribbon.

  • Sign in using the account your created above.

Choose your Render Generation settings.

  • Geometry Override — sets the level of change to the model geometry that should be considered. Low values indicate that you want to use your original model geometry.
  • Material Override — sets the level of change to the model materials that should be considered.
  • Number of Renderings — the number of renderings to be created when you click Render. Use this cautiously! Your free trial is limited to 30 renders.
  • Is Interior — for interior views.
  • Turbo Nature — has Veras add as much vegetation as possible.
  • Atmospheric — adds fog and mist (for exterior scenes).
  • Is Aerial View — for aerial views.
  • User Prompt — this is where you enter a prompt to guide the Generative AI.
  • Prompt Strength — lower values produce more muted results; high values produce dramatic results.
