Module 10 - Plumbing Systems
Plumbing system elements are:
- Lavatory Sinks
- Mechanical Room
- Urinals
- Toilets
Piping systems:
- 4" Sanitation copper pipe at 1/4 to 1" slope downwards
- 1" Hot Water copper pipe -5 elevation
- 1" Cold Water copper pipe -4'6" elevation
Challenges:
When I first attempted this, I completely forgot about changing the elevations of the different pipes. This made it extremely difficult to connect the systems together. This was solved when I assigned each system a designated elevation. At first, after I had laid out the restroom on the left side, the pipe wasn't letting me also go to the right. After some trouble shooting, I realized I needed a second plumbing system for the right bathrooms. I would have laid out my restrooms differently in my architectural model now that I know how plumbing works. It is much easier to have both systems line back to back rather than having 2 pluming systems for each bathroom.
