Dulce’Celeste Martinez (She/her)

Hello!

My name is Dulce (she/her) and I’m from Joliet, Illinois (45 minutes SW of Chicago). I’m currently a third year undergraduate majoring in environmental systems engineering (urban focus) and minoring in urban studies. I was also just recently admitted to the coterminal sustainable design and construction program.

I am extremely interested in sustainability within the built environment and energy efficiency, specifically in the way that cities are organized and how transportation, housing affordability, and land use can contribute to sustainability. I feel like my background thus far has definitely been more social and focused on planning, government, and accessibility so my goal with this class is to continue building my technical abilities. I am really excited for this class because of how much freedom for creativity there is. Also I took 120A/B last year and I really enjoyed working with Glenn so I’m glad to be back!

On a random side note, I really love cats if you couldn’t already tell! I also love to read, listen to music, and play soccer.
