What strategies can design teams use to find and avoid clashes prior to the start of construction?
Collaboration is definitely helpful in avoiding clashes and ensuring that the building model is successful and structurally sound given the architectural components. Prior planning and communication along with frequent check ins on plans is helpful.
At what point in the project development process should design coordination start?
It should be incorporated when the project is looking to be more seriously considered and planned. This will be helpful for ensuring that the future planning (structural engineers, project managers) are able to know what to expect beforehand
