    • Localized, public areas for food consumption/purchase encourage proper waste disposal
      • People more likely to sort their trash in a “green” facility
    • Open air and day-lit spaces encourage thinking out loud rather than just typing into an appliance
      • makes students feel more comfortable, more flexible— a different atmosphere from the inflexible, traditional rigor-based model
      • Increases practical information retention by encouraging casual interaction between students
    • Carbon neutrality + spacious, accessible area allows for more relaxed attitude overall
      • You don’t need to worry about contributing body heat and to the headcount—just ideas, the experience of being there, and enhancing that experience for others through social and emotional connection
