An extension to the engineering building has been proposed, which will serve as a collaborative space for students to work and socialize in. This building is designed with a (partial) circular floor plan to encourage collaboration and the development of a more connected community. There is a cafe and a large dining space on the first floor, along with an open area for students to meet and socialize. Two stairways are located in this extension of the engineering building, each at opposite ends of the building to allow for ease of access between the three floors. In addition, there are maker spaces, meeting rooms, and open work spaces on every level to accomodate for the varying needs of students. Last but not least, there are gallery spaces located on Floors 1 and 2 that showcase student projects, and a rooftop terrace that serves as an outdoor work space/dining area.
