I really want to focus on a sustainable building that plays into LEED, such as reduced water usage, reduced energy usage, using recycled materials/products, and then I also want to focus on implementing solar energy usage since I will be using California as my location.
On my last construction project, I worked closely with the architect and I really like the designs they used. I want to focus on more of an angular building approach using a lot of natural wood. I am very into modern designs that use natural materials, and I think that would be a good way to showcase using sustainable materials.
I also want to focus on the use of natural lighting, and work on eliminating or reducing the amount of lighting needed within the building.
Below are some images of building I find really interesting. Exhibition spaces can be boring or outdated, so it is important to create something meaningful, yet minimalistic that can keep up with the forever changing trends in design.
