Design ideas do not always have to be conveyed in photorealistic renders. I believe project team members needing renders are typically limited to architects and PMs. These are the stakeholders who have more reason to care about the aesthetic value of a project. For the most part, structural engineers, civil engineers, and MEP consultants are satisfied working off plans. It is very easy to communicate what is needed for a project with product schedules. They also ensure you are receiving accurate pricing for products to the exact specifications for the project.
