Give Me Shelter - 2 Units
The concept was behind my idea was a circular structure that would protect people from the rain - a giant umbrella! The basis of the design is three circles with variable diameters and locations and z-locations (height of the structure). These parameters can all be changed with input sliders:
Addition to the structure design being parametrically resizable, the adaptive components are also adaptable with input sliders:
Next the controlling curves were segmented (also uses a changeable parameter) and curves were created from the segment points. From these curves, the bulging 3pt tube family was loaded into revit and used as the “structural base” which would support the panels. A surface was also created between the points which would be used to add the panels.
Finally, the surface was segmented and panels were added to the surface
Since this was created with parameteric design, these parameters can easily be changed, which allow for an infinite number of designs. Some possible designs using this dynamo script are:

Design 2:
If the client does not like the umbrella idea, but would rather have an enclosed structure, this is also easily adaptable by changing the sliders:
Design 3:
or a fancier enclosed building is also possible!
