Assignment 1

This field research station features a spacious workspace area with room for three desks, a lab bench, a whiteboard meeting area, and a multipurpose work table. The open-concept layout of the workspace encourages collaboration and camaraderie, as the researchers can utilize both their desks and the two communal sitting areas. This station also includes a large storage room, and an ADA compliant bathroom. Additionally, there are ample south-facing windows to light and warm the station. Because there is not heating or cooling system, the 6” concrete flooring will help regulate temperatures, and the roof, which provides shade, can also host photovoltaic panels to provide energy to the station.
