Problem Statement:

Declining environmental systems and public health from on-the-grid living causes people to feel stuck and stressed in their everyday lives.

MVP:

  • Recreational Vehicle
  • Integrated aquaponics system for food production
  • Algae-based biofuel technology

MVP+:

  • APART shared community
  • Graywater recycling system
  • Alternate home powering system

Concept Statement:

We are designing an entirely self-sufficient recreational truck with minimal land use and sub-zero emissions. The community and product are based on an aquaponics food system and algae-based biofuel energy source. Built into the back of the vehicle is an aquaponics system which utilizes a miniature ecosystem of fish and plants to provide food for the residents. While on the roof, two trays grow algae which powers the aquaponics system and any additional appliances. Subsistence living means growing your own food, giving you access to the freshest and healthiest options. Together, these vehicles bring together a thriving community of caring and sustainability-centered individuals; benefitting physical as well as mental health.

APART is a revolutionary self-sufficient recreational truck designed for eco-conscious, sustainability enthusiasts who seek to live off the grid with no negative environmental impacts or use clean energy sources to power their homes. This innovative vehicle features an integrated aquaponics system that creates a continuous supply of fresh, healthy food through a symbiotic ecosystem of fish and plants. Algae grow beds on the roof produce biofuels, powering both the aquaponics system and all onboard appliances, ensuring sub-zero emissions and a fully sustainable lifestyle. Together, these vehicles bring together a thriving community of caring and sustainability-centered individuals, benefitting physical as well as mental health.

APART is a self-sufficient recreational truck designed for eco-conscious enthusiasts seeking an off-grid or clean energy lifestyle with zero environmental impact. It features an integrated aquaponics system that provides fresh food through a symbiotic ecosystem of fish and plants, while algae grow beds on the roof produce biofuels to power all systems with sub-zero emissions. This vehicle fosters a sustainable community focused on both physical and mental well-being.

APART offers the ultimate solution for those who want to explore the world while living independently and nurturing their well-being, all within a thriving community of like-minded individuals.
