Building Envelope

For walls and roof surfaces I used a large variety of materials focusing on different ways to support sustainability.

I used engineered wood products, terracotta, glass glazing, ceramic tile, and a green wall to help with these sustainability focused facade. Along with the facades I incorporated a green roof with solar panels.

I utilized large segments of glazing on the highest floor as well as large amounts of glazing on both the East and West to capture most of the sun possible. As well as utilizing glass doors.

I incorporated the use of large pyramid skylights to bring additional sun and light to the top floor.

As far as shading features go I am mostly limited to the shade provided from the floor to floor balconies, but would like to add the ability to adjust the level of slight from the interior in future developments.
