- The screenshot of an interior view of your merged model from the Model Coordination module
- A brief paragraph describing your structural system strategy
- I used a steel framed system as it allowed for longer beam sizes, meaning the chances of the beams being in the middle of rooms was lower. The longer the beam length, the longer they can span without the need for another column.
- Did you accidentally cover any floor openings (elevator, stairs, atrium)?
- I did not accidentally cover any floor openings
- Are any columns placed in the middle of the hallways or rooms?
- There are a few columns placed in rooms near the edges of the room but not totally off to the side (like the ones near the stairs in the image above). It was difficult to find a structurally sound layout without these disturbances.
- Did you meet the designer’s design intent?
- I did meet the designer’s intent as beams have been placed to provide structure to the building while limiting obstruction.
