My overall startegy was to try to keep the framing symetric as to allign with walls on most or all levels. I began by framing the shafts to enure that they had proper support and that they weren’t blocked, then continued by framing along walls and then deviding sections equally to keep all of the spans under 25 feet with most at or under 20 feet.
I chose to use all steel framing because from all that I read, it was the most sustainable due to it being highly recycleable, creating less CO2 in production than concrete, and not causing any deforestation like wood framing. As well as for a larger building like this being able to have longer beams was very helpful.
My columns were focused around the edge of the buildings with a few in the middle to help break up long support beams.
I didn’t have any unique challenges and my buildings symettry made it easy to copy the framing up levels.
