From my analysis of the building, the open floor plan and stair atriums were the focal point. With this in mind, I created a grid that allowed maximum open space while maintaining the limitations of beam spans. I placed the majority of the columns along the walls and the along the atriums, and along the hallways. Placing a large priority on maintaining the existing spaces as they came.
