For my structural design I decided to use W12X26 beams for my beams and beam systems. I also decided to use W10X49 Columns. I decided to use these steel beams because they seem more sturdy than wood. For my spacing of everything I tried to space the grids out about 20ft apart. Some are closer and some further due to elevators and stair cases taking up a lot of room. I probably errored on the too supportive side however I think it was reasonable given the shape and dimensions of my building. The curve of my building gave me a bit of trouble as it is hard to place beams and columns along the curved side.
