Design Journal Entry - Module 9

My design strategy was to build a centralized HVAC system with a mechanical room on the ground floor and air handlers on the roof. The provided airflow is based on the highest load (cooling/heating/ventilating). I had some issues with some excessive cooling loads in some of the rooms and for now I managed to design enough ducts for the required airflow. This will be improved in the coming days. The ducts were placed in a way that they would sit directly underneath the structural beams. This for now leaves around 9 feet of headroom.

UPDATED (3/7/2025):

(Fixed the excessive airflow demands. Rerouted all the ducts in the building and fixed any errors. Connected the ducts to the Air Handling Units on the roof)
