What are the principal advantages of creating a conceptual design model using masses before diving into the detailed design and building element modeling?

1) Creating a conceptual design using masses allows the creator and the audience to easily view a general layout of what the building should look like. This allows them to let their imagination for the general layout run free and not be too concerned with the details and specifics of the building that should be handled later in the process.

2) Allows the creator to make the big decisions early including finding SF and general structure before they get flooded with the intricacies of the model

3) Makes the concept of the building easy to understand for everyone hence “conceptual design”

4) allows for the creation of abstract shapes
