Design Journal Entry - Module 10

Your Design Journal entries this week should highlight your design thinking and process in modeling:

• your plumbing system elements
• I used water closets, lavatories, and urinals. I picked “public” type due to the nature of the building.

• your piping systems
• I used 1” copper piping for the hot and cold water lines. I used 2” and 4” copper for the sanitary lines.

• any special plumbing system challenges that you encountered and how you overcame them
• Many! Lol! I included the second and third snapshot to show the beginning of my sanitary connections to show how bad I started off. I had to resize the wall that separated both bathrooms, to allow room for all the piping and connections. I had to reroute lines many times, as well as connections. Just like with the ductwork, once I got more comfortable, I began to get more efficient and was able to plan out the best way to connect. It took many tries, lol!
