Description

This creation is made by mapping the Mona Lisa onto a grid of "pixels" and then making these pixels into boxes. The example created above does not map onto a specific surface, but there is additional code in the .gh file to do this (it looks better on flat surface to see the image anyways). After mapping the image on the surface, then the boxes (or "pixels") are offset based off of the brightness of the image. In my specific example above, a depth map is used to more accurately depict the depth in the picture. There are a number of options to see including pixels, boxes with no height, boxes with depth height, and smooth depth surface. This smooth depth surface is made from raising the individual pixels, mapping a surface, and then subdividing the surface back into boxes to then map the image color onto.
