The structural system strategy is designed to ensure that stairs and other openings remain unobstructed, prioritizing both functionality and safety. The grid layout is primarily based on walls, reducing the prominence of columns and creating a less intrusive design. Beams are modeled for a maximum span of 25 feet, even though the W12x26 steel used can support spans up to 50 feet, offering significant design flexibility. If aesthetics favor wood over steel, wood can be chosen as an alternative, with the option to remove beams as needed depending on the selected design. The flat roof employs the same framing system as the second level, with modifications for the skylight. Additionally, the simplified light scoop framing can be adjusted, in this case removed, as the current material choice maintains structural soundness.
