The sustainability promotion that works for me the most recently is to see the LEED Platinum Certification on campus constantly. Actually, after knowing LEED I paid attention to every LEED certification I met all over the world. I would find the sustainable features in a LEED certified building. And if there was an introduction about the building, I would carefully read it. I hope in the coming design project, I can get lots of inspirations from green buildings on campus.
“Sustainability is based on a simple principle: Everything that we need for our survival and well-being depends, either directly or indirectly, on our natural environment. To pursue sustainability is to create and maintain the conditions under which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony to support present and future generations.” https://www.epa.gov/sustainability/learn-about-sustainability
Stanford designs, constructs, and operates high-performance campus buildings. Accolades for design and operation abound, including LEED Platinum certifications for both New Construction and Existing Building projects on campus.
