The design of this field research station focuses on sustainability. The roof allows a south-facing surface for photovoltaic panels that reduce the energy consumption of the facility, while also maximizing south-facing walls for windows. The five large windows, along with the five skylights, allow ample natural lighting and heating for the space during the day. The main room of the facility offers three work desks, a common area for meetings, and a lab bench. All other rooms, including restroom and storage, that do not require significant lighting and heating are located on the north side of the station.
