Image of Your Proposed Design Model
NOTE: I decided to use a box shaped building for the revit involved section of this model to simplify things. So I have 4 proposals in total
Side-By-Side Comparisons of Your Analysis Results
- Analysis of My proposal 2’s sun hours during two different months, sept. and dec.
- Analysis of Sun light potential from proposal 1 and 3. Three gets more light.
- Comparisons of my area metrics for each proposal. Comparing squarefootages.
Your Recommendation for the “Best” Design Option
Enter a brief paragraph (5 to 7 sentences) outlining a brief explanation of why you chose this design option as the “best” after comparing your analyses of the proposals…
- USED PROPOSAL 4 INSTEAD WHEN WORKING WITH REVIT
- I would say my proposal 2 offers the best in terms of design and performance. In terms of daylight potential, it offered the greatest variety of daylight exposures and scored well on the scales compared to my other designs. When it comes to sun hours, due to its curved design, the building maximixed the amount of exposed walls allowing more light to reach the interior. Other buildings had great volume, but not enough surface area. Lastly, it also performs well in terms of its footprint. The area is well within limits. My other proposals were bulky.
