The elements of the plumbing fixtures include toilets, urinals, and lavatory sinks. The piping systems include cold water, hot water, and sanitary pipes. To conserve water, the greywater system is also included in the piping system by collecting the water from sinks and reusing the water to flush the toilets and urinals. The greywater system is shown in figures in purple color. When modeling the piping systems, I linked the structural model to avoid the intrusion of columns as shown in the figures below.
The challenges of this module are to connect the fixtures to the piping system, sometimes I need to work in different sections to have them connected, and avoid the structural columns since I have 4 columns in the restroom space, so I decided to enclose the columns by architectural walls and also model piping systems inside the enclosed area. The other challenge is to include the greywater system, I need to be very careful to connect different piping systems and route them so they won’t interconnect with each other.
