Why do different teams of designers and subcontractors link and share their models during the design process?

They are able to change and properly know the dimension for different structures and acclimate for the differences in their designs. They are also able to correct each other and provide feedback to one another depending on the incongruencies. The only problem with linking models would be them changing some stuff that the owner doesn’t want to be changed or it being copied and plagiarized.

How do you think design coordination was done before we started using digital models?

They would come together and show each others drawing to each others. They are able to make decisions face to face and communicate better with one another. The advantage in doing this digitally is that they are able to show their work online and quickly send it rather than wasting time going in person.

At what point in the project development process should design coordination start?

It should start as soon as possible in order to achieve quick progress as well as making the dimension and the measurement correct from the start. knowing what materials to what aspect of the structure needs to be built first in order to achieve proper coordination. It something many teams and designers need to agree with in order to achieve the next big architectural design.
