Description
I enlarged the copy room to accommodate the increased student and faculty foot traffic expected in the new space, ensuring there’s enough room for multiple users simultaneously and providing added convenience for students working on large projects. For the café, I chose a dynamic, angular shape to maximize both indoor and outdoor seating while offering students a welcoming, open space for casual interactions and studying. This shape also helps distinguish the café as a focal point, drawing people in visually and functionally as a social hub. I decided to maintain the original design style rather than introducing a completely different aesthetic for the extension to ensure visual cohesion with the existing building, honoring its classical architecture. By blending the styles, the extension complements the original structure, achieving a harmonious integration that enhances the entire complex without overshadowing or clashing with the established architecture.
