Side-By-Side Comparisons of Your Analysis Results
Your Recommendation for the “Best” Design Option
Enter a brief paragraph (5 to 7 sentences) outlining a brief explanation of why you chose this design option as the “best” after comparing your analyses of the proposals…
I selected Proposal 3 (P3) primarily because it boasts of layered levels while maintaining a structurally affordable form. There were negligible differences between the developed microclimates across the three proposals, so the slightly higher incurred temperature of P3 was not a limiting factor. Despite the reduced leasable floor area, the layers of P3 encourage outdoor leisure activities, including cafe, gym, and office social activities. Additionally, despite the 28% of P3 facade area that experienced 0-1 sun hours, this was fairly comparable to P1 and only 12 percentage points higher than P2, the most expensive proposal. From an energy conservation standpoint, P3’s 21 percentage point lower sun hour time roofs was particularly appealing, for less heat would be absorbed.
Ultimately, the layered floors of Proposal 3 present an architecturally unique structure, representative of Twitbook’s capacity for innovation and thinking outside of the box. With surrounding property space still available, there remain opportunities for artistic and eatery development to improve the quality of life for employees and those in the surrounding community.
