Can you guarantee that the completed building will match the performance predicted by the analysis in its day-to-day operations?

No, you cannot guarantee or be certain that the predicted analysis will match the day-to-day operations and accurate completed cost. The analysis is based on estimations and an assumption that nothing will go wrong, there will be no setbacks, or any back orders of any kind.

4D simulations are often used to show the construction sequence for an entire project, but shorter simulations that focus on a specific period of time are also useful.

Focusing on a specific 1 to 2 weeks of building can be useful to focus on specific or particularly complicated parts of the building. This will allow those in charge of construction to clearly see the order of construction and operation to allow for a smooth building process.

How can model-based quantity takeoff improve the design process?

Seeing how much a model will cost can allow designers to make changes to their building to reduce cost of construction. They can see which elements cost the most money and make efforts to reduce or get rid of them.
