Description

Enter a brief paragraph (5 to 7 sentences) describing the features of your proposed design that you'd like to highlight here...

Echoing the Module 6 design intent, the “V” shape building is a modern office space in which the exterior of the building makes partial use of an enclosure because of the proximity to the other building. For sustainability purposes, daylight and wind analysis, the building characteristics lend well to having a positive influence on energy savings, indoor environment and overall health and well-being to the individuals working inside. Structurally, the building has columns, beam-girders and welded connections. The advantages of having a steel moment frame include lateral resistance (wind as a consideration for the case of Boston, not so much need for seismic in that region), aesthetic appeal and ease of open floor plans, fast construction potential, high strength to weight ratio and reduced cost.
