Description
The design of this new wing is focused on promoting dynamic, and transparent spaces for students to utilize. Applied to the new design are some of the original themes of the existing structure. Stone brick layers continue to run through the exterior and core of the building, but are receded to allow for more curtain glass walls. Curtain glass walls gives students a sense of more space and reduces the enclosed, claustraphobic feelings of the original building. In addition to, the new wing features double and triple heigh ceilings allowing for those inside to feel as if they are not surrounded by walls and ceilings. The new wing also features multi layered core structures that exemplifies a forward thinking vision of complexity within simplicity.
