Minimizing demo via wall removal and a small section of parapet/barrier in order to be mindful of sustainable construction, the overall design incorporates the existing building design to pay respect to the history of the building while providing a modern blend, reflected in the glass encasement cafe or gallery open space. To this end, any future enhancements or additions can touch upon either past or modern design elements. The windows throughout each exterior face is meant to bring in as much natural light as possible to encourage an inviting gathering space for creativity amongst faculty, students and visitors alike.
