Please share your comments on 3 of the following Points to Ponder questions. (Choose 3 of the questions below.)
Which types of structural framing systems and materials are most commonly used in the US for residences? For office buildings?
I was trying to use the materials that were practical and made the most sense. I wanted for my building to be somewhat realistic and I wanted it to look like somewhere you'd want to visit.
Why do different teams of designers and subcontractors link and share their models during the design process?
I think that some of the advantages of linking models are that you can work on two at the same time and that you can connect different types of building and transfer them easier. The disatvanges are that its very confusing when they are overlapping and can be hard to keep up and make sure you know what your doing.
How do you think design coordination was done before we started using digital models?
This method allows for easier transfers ana I think to build things of larger mass. It also allows for you to combine building and places which overall I think makes you quicker and more effective
