Homes are sometimes made out of steel but mostly wood because homes do not have as many people in them daily.
How do you think design coordination was done before we started using digital models?
What advantages does doing this coordination digitally have over previous methods?
Before digital models, design coordination was done with pencil and paper. Drawing was an effective way to put your ideas on paper however it was more work and very time consuming. Drawing allows you maybe more freedom to go off the rails however when you mess up you cannot just press Command Z you have to erase and resart. Digital model are much better because anyone can click buttons not everyone can draw. Digital models are still just as creative just easier to work with.
What strategies can design teams use to find and avoid clashes prior to the start of construction?
What can be done besides sharing the models digitally?
Communication. Communication is key when it comes to building something because often many people are involved which is good however it can allow more things to get messed up. Communication is key because if you have good communication between all of the workers building your house you should have no problems. Starting early can also help because you can catch your errors if you happen to make one.
