Description
My proposed design offers an extension to the previous building. I added new walls and a new floor as an extension of the old building, along with the eastern wall of my proposed design being made out of glass. This glass side will allow others from outside to peer in and observe the students and potentially inspire others to work in this space. The first floor you can see into the Cafe space from outside, while looking from outside in to the second floor you can see the student gallery, maker space and social area. There are bathrooms on each floor, a staircase and elevator, plenty of private meeting rooms for the students, printing rooms and storage rooms to fit all of the needs of the building. On the 3rd floor I decided to make it an open space that allows the students to get some much needed sunlight, along with enough space to socialize and eat. This proposed design fits all of the potential needs of the students, while also encouraging good work habits.
