Can you guarantee that the completed building will match the performance predicted by the analysis in its day-to-day operations?
No becuase day to day operations differ everyday. Im sure over the course of a year the averages are pretty similar however when looking at the performance of day to day the performance will differ from day to day.
How can you use Insight feedback to make design choices regarding materials, lighting, PV, etc.?
From my expiernce using insight you can optimize the building in regards to carbon. In my building to optimize the carbon usage I used no insulation in the walls and I added walls on the sides of the building that would get the most sun. You can also optimize the building by using more efficient windows that dont let out heat but another way to do this is to put walls up especially in areas that are extremely hot like Arizona.
How can model-based quantity takeoff improve the design process?
by using the estimates cost you optimize the building with the budget you have. If you only have a certain amount of money the estimates are great because you can try to keep your building price to a minimum. It can also help improve the design because you know what you can and cant add depending on the budget.
