What sort of complexities are introduced when you construct a building complex in phases?

One complexity is keeping track of what is demolished and when. You cannot simply delete an element when you have existing features and working in phases. You have to demolish it and then set when you want that to be demolished. To know if something is from the previous phase it is good to have different views with the different phases.

In your project, which features of the proposed design did you choose to model as design alternatives?

I had a large terrace on the third floor of my building and I couldn’t decide if I wanted it to have a roof covering or for it to be open. So, I made both of them options to let the customer decide. I also couldn’t decide what I wanted to do with the remaining space on the third floor. So I gave the customer the option between open space for more tables and chairs to be placed or three additional meeting rooms.
