Sustainability means to not overuse resources and preserve the environment. Mom explains that she does not want to contribute to the destruction of the environment.
Family is of utmost importance to Mom and she emphasis the fact that she wants the planet to be safe and healthy for her children, grandchildren, and future generations.
Mom explains that being energy efficient, the use of reusable items, and buying local/organic produce are key aspect of her daily life. She talks about simple things such as not running the heating and cooling and instead opening up the windows, using solar power, and not buying plastic.
Mom recounts a travel experience in Chile. She and her family love to hike and travel and while on a trip to Chile they stayed in beautiful sustainable hotels
Mom has thought of organizing an electronics drive in the neighborhood, however was very unsure about how she wanted to combat the issue of awareness in the community.
