I elected some constraints to gauge the environmental impact of my possible towers.

The building above maximizes the building dimensions and gross surface area of the floors while still adhering to the outlined constraints. However, the following building with a smaller base size performs better with the other two metrics that I selected: CO2 output in construction and energy consumption.

I elected some constraints to gauge the environmental impact of my possible towers.

These are very high-level estimations. Iotacommunicaitons.com estimates that on average commercial structures consume 22.5 kilowatt-hours of energy per square foot. The UK times however estimates that a similar structure produces 4.6 Kg/sqft of CO2 during construction. I utilized the gross square footage of the structure to estimate total energy use and CO2 output along with these stats.

The above customer node calculated the carbon footprint of the structure base on square footage.

The custom node above estimates total energy use. The following table summarizes how the different towers with varying base sizes performed.
