Description

This small vacation house is in South Lake Tahoe, CA. The total living area is of approximately 2300 SF without accounting for the parking space for two medium cars, and up to four bicycles. The main entrance is located at the basement where the client will also find a storage space and a study or quiet area with its own bathroom. Next to the storage, there are stairs that lead to the second floor where there is a kitchenette, a central living room, three bedrooms, and another bathroom. This upper level also has a terrace (where a hot tub and a furniture set are placed) and a chimney where people can gather to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake. This is thanks to the curtain walls placed right at the front/lateral of the house, and specifically in the kitchenette and living room areas. Moreover, skylights have been placed in the roof (bedrooms and living rooms) to allow the clients to enjoy the sky during the day and night. To keep this house to be within sustainability standards, solar panels have been placed in the roof as well, and a waterfall on the East side of the house. The water from the waterfall is recycled by the forward osmosis from the purifying system of the house. On the West side of the house, a barbecue area was also placed.
