Description

For my project, I focused on one of the homes I grew up in Idaho. I tried to make the design as replicative of my house as possible. I have full appliances in the kitchen, the appropriate bed sizes and bed orientations in each bedroom, a furnished laundry room, family room, dining room, and complete bathrooms. For topography, I included our flat yard and trees that surround my house, as well as the grassy, slanted hill just behind the back of my home. I chose to highlight the dining room and one of the bedrooms for my interior view. The bedroom is replicative of the room I grew up sleeping in for 18 years, so it is a very significant place for me. Moreover, throughout my childhood I have had some of my fondest memories eating dinner with my family and getting to spend time with everyone in our dining room. Sun Valley is a particularly memorable place during the winter, with picturesque mountains and a lot of snow. My entire family and extended family comes to Sun Valley for the holidays, which is why I chose to include the picture of my sister and I frosting cookies for Santa with our young cousins in our dining room. When I think of my dining room, so many moments like that come to mind—it is a special room that holds a lot of significance for me.
