The design ideas do not always have to be conveyed through photorealistic renders because in the conceptual design we need to use 3D views to emphasize form, proportion, and relationship to site. Although, in the client presentation or showing for a proposal we need to use photoresalistic renders for final(real) visualization of materials, lighting, and ambiance.
Name some applications where viewing the building and model information in virtual reality or augmented reality would be most beneficial?
CAVE is better used for immersive group experiences, reeal-scale environments, ideal of team discussion and reviews, and doesn’t require a headset. While VR headsets is affordable and portable, it is highly interactive, but it is a solo experience and has limited field collaboration.
How can schedule views be used to assist with procurement and model-based estimating?
I can schedule views to assist with procurement by create door, window, fixture, or finish schedules with exact counts and specifications, and export vendor quotes and ordering directly, then you have cost estimation that links material takeoffs to cost databases, and updates estimates dynamically as the model changes ensuring real time cost control. Lastly, construction management which is a phase based tracking which items belong in each stage, and reduces errors and improves coordination across disciplines.
