What are the principal advantages of using a single building information model of the existing conditions as the foundation for modeling proposed additions or renovations?
- creating a separate model would not allow the same level of iteration. Using the built in revvit tools for existing and new features allows the architect to create mutiple alternative versions and switch between. it also allows you to maintain all the building aspects and revert whenever necessary.
What are the principal advantages of using a single building information model of the existing conditions as the foundation for modeling several proposed design alternatives for a portion of the building?
- Using one model allows the user to switch between proposals seamlessly, and even combine aspects of each into many permutations of new options. Its truly an incredible function of the software.
