What types of building information are best portrayed in 3D views?
- Which stakeholders require 2D views, and why?
- Building Managers, Firefighters, Builders, Etc.. All of these people in some way need to know where things are and where things should go for their own reasons, all of which are very important.
Give examples of how the building information for a specific location in the project needs to be filtered for different audiences and purposes?
- The backstage layout for a major artist venue might be off the public books to ensure safety and security, whereas the internal layouts may be public for ease of movement and location in common areas.
Should your design ideas always be conveyed through photorealistic renders?
- How does the level of detail in the rendering and its presentation affect the perception of stakeholders reviewing your design?
- It definitely allows for stakeholders to fully understand how everything looks all together. It may allow for stakeholders to see which kinds of materials go together before they’re tried on the actual building, or how the lighting hits certain areas of the house whether internal or through the sun.
