Description
The extension of the existing engineering building houses 3 floors tailored towards being a student center. The first floor contains a lecture hall and grand meeting hall, the second floor includes a student gallery room for presentations and galleries, and the third floor contains a recreation room. Each floor contains a makerspace and meeting room, so students can work together on various tasks and utilize their creativity to its utmost potential. The second floor includes a cafeteria and the third floor houses a terrace, with different layout options proposed for each aspect. A walkway connects the existing to the new construction. Two sets of stairs and elevators ensure that there will not be heavy foot traffic within the building, and two restrooms on each level can be found for guest convenience. The building was designed to feel right at home with the existing building, with the layout geared towards the comfort of the students.
