Your Recommendation for the “Best” Design Option

Looking at all three proposals, I'd say Proposal 1 is the strongest option for this San Francisco site. It really nails the balance between getting enough daylight (93% of ground surfaces get at least 3 hours of direct sun) while keeping noise levels relatively contained – those facade readings show only 11% in the highest noise range compared to Proposal 3's 15%. The building coverage at 19% leaves plenty of room for outdoor space without feeling cramped, and that efficiency factor of 0.90 means you're getting good usable area without waste. When you look at the microclimate analysis, the air temps stay comfortable and the wind patterns don't create any crazy uncomfortable zones. Sure, Proposal 2 has slightly better daylight on the roofs, but Proposal 1's overall package just works better when you consider people will actually be living and moving through these spaces. It's not trying to do too much: just solid, livable urban design that respects both the residents and the neighborhood context.
