Your Recommendation for the “Best” Design Option

I chose option 1 as the best design option after comparing my analyses of the proposals. Option 1 had the best daylight potential out of all of the buildings, which would decrease the amount of energy needed on light and also allow for potential color energy capture. Option 1 also had the lowest thermal stress out of all of the options when analyzing microclimates. The cold stress did not vary much between the 3 options, but considering that option 1 had the best daylight potential and lowest thermal stress, the day light potential can be used to store energy to help with the cold stress. I also looked at noise pollution for the three options. Option 2 had the more spaces with less noise pollution, however it did not beat option 1 in the more environmental categories.
