Your Recommendation for the “Best” Design Option
I ultimately chose my 3rd design, the ‘Zig-Zag’ option, because of the efficient metrics that were produced from the various simulations. First, The 3rd design choice was must effective at reducing the amount of sun that hit the group at 57% compared to the others that 61% and 69%. Additionally, for the Total Solar Energy, the Zig-Zag design ranked 2nd at 402k kWh of Total Solar Energy, behind 406k and 401k (very small differences). Additionally, I felt that the design was the most different from its surroundings, which would make it stand out from the surrounding city scape.
